Hop Rocket ® India Pale Ale - 4.8% BREWED EVERY 100 BREWS - NEXT BREW IS 1500 - AVAILABLE JANUARY 2013
A proper India Pale Ale (we have dropped the moniker IPA because of its deserved association with Insipid Pale Ale rather than India Pale Ale) brewed in the old style with only Maris Otter Pale Ale Malt and no Crystal Malt. It is a deep golden ale with a thirst quenching bitterness. Hopped with WGV (1932), Early Choice Golding (1948), Bramling Cross (1951), Progress (1967), Target (1972), Pilgrim (1984), First Gold (1996), Sovereign (2006) and Finchcocks' Hop X (2010). Quadruple hopped in the copper, our Hop Rocket® and dry hopped. 57 IBUs
"...puts to shame some of the lacklustre beers of modest strength that masquerade as IPA. This sumptuous beer has plum jam and blackcurrant aroma and palate from the Bramling Cross hops, balanced by sappy malt and a long, lingering bitter, fruity and quenching finish." - Roger Protz about our 100th Brew India Pale Ale

Puddledock Porter 4%
A traditional dark brown winter ale brewed with Crystal and Chocolate Malts, hopped with Kent Northdown, Bramling Cross and Goldings hops for flavour and aroma.
Our ‘Puddledock Porter’ takes its name from the village of Puddledock and its association with Westerham’s famous resident, Winston Churchill. The possibility of Churchill’s receiving a dukedom after the war led to speculation about what his son would be known as. After discussions with Churchill, his private secretary reported that Churchill would never accept: “First of all what could he be Duke of? Secondly, even if he were Duke of Westerham, what would Randolph be? He could only be Marquis of Puddledock Lane which was the only other possession he had apart from Chartwell. And thirdly, quite seriously, he wished to die in the House of Commons as Winston Churchill.”
