BBC Local Food Hero 2008

The BBC Countryfile magazine selected the brewery as one of its 20 Local Food Heroes for 2008. A panel of nominators including BBC presenters and chefs including Raymond Blanc and Rick Stein, selected their choices. The brewery's work with the National Trust hop garden at Scotney Castle was particularly noted. The award was announced in the September edition of the BBC Countryfile magazine.
