Patron Saint of Brewers St. Arnold of Metz said “From man’s sweat and God’s love, beer came into the world”. Westerham Brewery which uses the Christian symbol of the fish has definitely been Blessed – their beers are next to perfect. From the wonderfully fruity Audit Ale ( just bootiful...) the better-most example of an old Strong Kentish Ale I’ve served many years in the pub trade, through to their classic session bitters Grasshopper and Finchcocks Original, all casks are brimming over with well-balanced flavours and quaffability. Well done Westerham for practising the art and science of fine brewing and pleasing my pubgoers this side of the North Sea in Denmark. Cheers!
